I was wondering if any of you knew of a really great place to get vintage crochet patterns. You know, styles from the 60's and 70's? The one site i know of, half the time doens't work (http://web.archive.org/web/20011206120147/www.cei.net/~vchisam /groovy/women.html). It bums me out. So if any of you know of a website with some crochet patterns, i would really like to know. Thanks for your help. Laters. Nova
http://web.archive.org/web/20020206221635/www.groovycrochet.com/index.html I think this is the same site, but it's usually up and running.
Thanks for your post. It is the same site and for some reason hardly any of the pictures load on my computer. It really bums me out because i love that site. I wonder why the lady doesn't run the site anymore. anyway thanks. nova
thanks so much. I like the site. I just might have to order all of that stuff. I have an older 1971 womens day with crochet patterns if you go to the groovy crochet site all the patterns are on there, but a friend of my aunts died and she had all these old crochet magazines, my mom took them all but i snagged the womens day. And now its in a plastic cover and i have copies made because i didn't want it to get ruined. anyway thanks so much. laters nova
You might also check out older shops with discount/clearance racks or look on eBay for items offered by others who may have already done so. I had found several magazines from that era and got them at ridiculously low prices, and I'll probably put some of them on eBay whenever I rediscover them after unpacking from our recent move!
