I read somewhere, I want to say on a post here, that there are tiny things in the Oxycontin that are meant to screw up your vein walls in shot up and to totally cut up your nasal cavity walls as well if snorted as to prevent abuse. Is this true? I asked my brother but he didnt know. He is more into actually doing the drugs and doing just enough research to be safe, whereas I actually like to learn the information. Like a hobby. Anyway, I was planning on snorting it so as to bypass the time release. Whats your imput? I understand that whatever your answer, you are not advocating the abuse of perscription drugs
i dont think thats true frist because i know a bunch of people who have snorted oxy like crazy and there noses arnt messed up also thats like saying cig companys put the all the crap in cig's so people wont smoke them which realy doesnt make sence,also you can do a cold water extraction then let the water dry into a powder and snort that, the cold water extraction will take out all the crap and leave the Oxycodone
Hmm crazy, well then thank you for dispelling that myth. this cold water extraction is the same used for other drugs? If so then it should be relatively easy. But how does the water dry into powder? wouldnt it either settle or evaporate?
There isn't any shrapnel in Oxy...I won't even touch Oxy unless I snort it, and I have yet to get a nosebleed from it; however, the binders and fillers used in pills can cause damage to your nasal passages...
yea, thats what I was talking about, the binders and fillers. I read it somewhere and from the discription it sounded as though it were deliberate. I did read on erowid that they are planning on adding this chemical into the Oxycontin so taht if you break the pill in half or crush it, it will release these littel things that disable the effects. So unles you take it like you should it will not work. They are having trouble designing it so that when your stomach dissolves the pill, it doesnt release the absorbing things... It doesnt sound like it will come out anytime soon, if ever.... Thanks again
As I understand it, Oxycontin has "Layers" of protection, so that the drug is released a little at a time, as these layers dissolve in different parts of your digestive system. Otherwise you'd get the entire 40 mgs or whatever all at once. I know they use a cellulose, but I don't know what else. I don't put things into my veins or my nose, but I can imagine broken up cellulose would be prickly.
