I dunno...It seems an attempt to capture part of the era that spawned hippies. Not great...not horrid... Why is it dismaying for you?
well, thas how we said it back then instead of saying Vietnam every time.. I think the worse part is the color. That fleshtone eh color.
Ew, fleshtone... the same colour as underpants. Good association actually... I'm just looking at an October 1969 Australian Reader's Digest. In it are two advertisements for Holeproof brand, "Manly" men's underwear range. Headline for both: "UNDERWEAR REVOLUTION!" One ad says: "Wear the symbol of revolt... the revolt against convention! Manly athletics and briefs in new cut, new style, new shape. From $1.00." The other one says: "March together in a brief colour riot. Be an anti-white demonstrator in seven colours of Manly stretch nylon briefs. $1.50." I should try and scan the ads
Boy you guys'll make a thread about anything! LOL! I created that background way back when for Hippy.com. It's probably 6 years old or more. The only problem I can see is that its been around so long... But then so have the hippies!
LOL!! and if there was ever any doubt about threads started about anything, theres a whole forum for it in random thoughts. I still like the fact that its different then the other forums and it incorporates some names and a few catch phrases of the era that spawned hippies.
