I saw a TV show about Papillions recently, they seems quite cute and fun.

Oh and I've a soft spot for pugs.

Not sure if they're toy breeds, but Boston terriers and King Charles spaniels are quite small.

i generally dont like toy dogs too much, they yip and yipe and are always under foot. i like boston terriers though, but bostons arent that small compared to alot of other breeds

Awww bless, what a cute dog.

Just looked some stuff up about them. They sound wonderful. Definetly on my short list for future dog. :)

I know most chihuahuas and toy fox terriers aren't friendly to strangers.
I been looking to get a small dog breed too lately and thats what my family thinks I should get . Two of my sister's have each have a chihuahua plus my mom has toy fox terrier/chihuahua mix.
So I don't know much about any other small breeds .

I would love to get a french bulldog, but considering the females have to get a c-section everytime they give birth *costing up to $2000 each litter*.. The puppies are very expensive to buy from a breeder, usually $1000-5000 for one pup.... (eep).. too expensive for my blood lol.

I would love to get an Eglish Bulldog but they are also pretty expensive, because they are a more rare breed in my area.. sigh..

I have a couple naibours with shelties, they dont like strangers, and they bark ALOT.. Constantly I mean ;). it is really annoying, I wouldent be worried about the hair though, I own a siberian husky already.. they shed ALOT ;).

I just wrote a big post about how I love my shih tzu,and somehow, it didn't get posted, so...reader's digest edition...I love shih tzu's, and have a wonderful little girl shih tzu that is about to turn a yr. old...she is 11 lbs, and prob. won't grow much more, if at all. I've heard that shi tzu's tend to be very sweet dogs ( there are exceptions) when they are bred well, and socialized well as pups. They can be a hassle to groom (I brush her every day, even though I keep her clipped down), but otherwise, can be very good choices for small dogs. Pugs are neat too!
