The 'two camps' problem

    In my mind, the idea that we can divide all the people on earth into two easily recognizable categories is the hallmark of faulty political thinking.
    Lookit the communists and their bourgoise and proletariat (however the fuck you spell it), our the sixties-era hippies and their generational divide.
    These are always a very simplistic explanation of something that is in reality ungraspable.
    Today, we divide the political world into either conservative or liberal, but one only needs to spend some time with a liberterian or a religious conservative to see how incorrect those labels are.
    In truth there aren't two different poles that people are drawn to, but every person is their own pole.

    The american media, most americans. Watch any news show, the usually have the 'guy on the left' and the 'guy on the right' fighting eachother.
