Do You Have A Website?

awe, thanks sweetie... design has come to me from a number of facets over the years. naturally, i have a gift of being a pisces, which is a major factor in my creativity, as everything to me appears as a canvas and an opportunity to make art.

also, another thing that really helped was learning how to build my website so that I could add the borders and such exactly where I needed and wanted them.

color combinations are another major thing as well, it needs to read as cleanly as possible. the layout is another big factor, as easy navigation is very important. every page within your site should match each other, to a degree, following the same formats, colors, & etc., so that it is all seamlessly flowing...

this is the 3rd layout I've created for the site, and by far my favorite, as I can easily change the borders, background & or text, and many other things without altering the whole site or having to do every page individually. I could write a whole book on what I believe are the fundamentals of good web design, without all of the flash, spinning animated distractions and other things that require latest software and plug ins. I use just plain HTML so that any computer can recognize my site, and so that it downloads faster, etc.

all in all, it's been quite a learning experience along the way, as I taught myself everything I know about photoshop, dreamweaver, and everything else I know how to do on the computer with digital arts. Oh, and using an Apple Macintosh computer helps a lot too.

 

I can do some digi-art but I havn't exactly designed anything worth showing off.

I asked a friend to make my siggy for me I actually held a contest at my forum to see who could come up with the most creative sig and avatar sets for me and I paid the winner in Arcade coins...those are a currency at my forum which are used to play games

 

Opps...I probably shouldn't have voted. I've had one or two in the past, but I lost interest...I mean, what was the point about me having a website about myself? So anyway...I don't have one now, but yeah, I have...and I voted no. Beacuse I don't have one now.

Yeah I have a few. Got a portfolio site and a site about me and my hubby...and a blog. They aren't anything really special at the mo, but eventually...when I have more time. I hardly update though ...I'm really bad about that.

 

I have http://aplz.l1quids.org I was going to make a photoblog again, but sort of scrapped the idea due to lazyness.

oh God forbid! Haha, no worries with the sites at least. Used to have one about me and the ex too. It wasn't quite as involved though! It got completely updated and changed, to just about me, after he cheated on me .

 

You could have posted some pics' of his shredded suits.. and 'refurbished' car.

Out of the people that have forums, I was wondering with who do you host them and how much does it cost? Or can you do it for free just as part of your regular hosting?
