Buy buds in tobacco shops.

Reading the June-July issue of High times "Grow America" I read an article that they are trying to pass a law that allows for the sale of marijuana buds in tobbacoo shops that are no less than 500 yards of a school or a church. In nevada that is.

 

haha cool...but y would they pass that?...i mean that's real great but doesnt seem right....maybe it's a conspiracy to see who buys it...n then the cops will come for u..

 

in other words legalizing marijuana? i think 'they' have been trying to do that for some time now.

They tried last november, i think, it failed pretty badly. God damned stoners had two fucking weeks to get to the polls, and you know that everyone of them was going "Mann... I'm pretty high now... fuck... i got two fucking weeks to smoke...." and then it's the end, and they're like:"Fuck."

 

even if they did pass such a law the feds would get them to over turn it. All they have to do is say ok now more federal funding for you. Thats how they got Louisiana to change drinking age from 18 to 21.

I wouldn't doubt that it is a conspiracy at all. You know, they can make it legal all they want in states, but in the country, it is still illegal. The government could come and get you for it, but the state can't do jack. That's what they are doing in California with the medical studies and clients using herb. Aren't the governemt bastards assholes?

 

I wanna have it explained to me how an overwhelming mass of people can vote something in and then the OFFICIALS turn back the bill when it wins!

Here's an idea: bring in your old bong, hookah, hash pipe, etc. and trade it in for a discount on some bud! Then, they can resell all the used paraphernalia for a profit, but at a better price than new stuff! Happy days!

 

what this country needs for weed to be legalized is a bunch of people going public with facts about marijuana, going against the so called experts(teachers, counselors, etc) and counter what they say with cold hard facts. but everyone is like oh dont worry someone else will do it. maybe all you people who are yelling legalize should do some researching of your own, so when people ask you why it should be legalized you could start a debate instead of just saying "because its fun"

 

yea, that was pretty shitty how they made us (Louisiana) change our laws. We were the last state and were holding on for a while, but they said they would pull all the state funding... so i guess we had to - but here's a little secret - 18 is still the drinking age. Yea Cajuns!

The only way pot will become legalized is if there is an abundance of information that proves its benefits outweigh the negatives. Also, the information will have to be brought foward by a reputable organization or Congressman. A large group of potheads presenting the "cold hard facts" on pot won't be taken too seriously by the majority of the population and the government.

Actually the main problem was with the amount of weed they wanted to legalize. I mean seriously, had it been like a joints worth or maybe two it would have gotten a better response.

 

anybody know of any congressmans that smoke pot? and are willing to risk their careers to try and legalize the stuff? i really dont have a problem with it being illegal im gonna smoke it either way i just think its crap that cops hassle and harass me every time i see them becuase they know that i smoke weed.
