Hallucinogens and our evolutionary path

For a short period now I’ve been studying the symbiotic relationship between Neanderthals and mushrooms. To how Homosapiens are in present time today from experiences with these hallucinogens. If in the past Hallucinogens such as a mushroom affected us so heavily in our evolutionary path as Neanderthals, who knows were we’d be in the next 20-30 years. Hello I’m Michelle; I’ve been on to this for some years now. I hope I can be of assistance here.
