I started using the ring for the first time last month and Sunday was the day to take it out . I took it out and today is Wednesday and I have not gotten my period. My g'friend says she gets her period the same day she removes the ring . Any thoughts ? Experience?

I take the pill, but the pill and ring use the same hormones so I can perhaps be of help. I NEVER get my period the first day of my inactive week. For example this month: I took my last active pill on wednesday and didn't start my period until sunday. Variations are normal throughout the cycle and you might even miss a few periods, especially when you're first starting off and your body hasn't adjusted to the new hormones. I wouldn't worry.

    OK THANKS -

I was also on the pill and I am so used to the pill not being "safe" until 30 days into the first pack. well the ring said 7 days and it is effective in your body. So I was a lil worried that maybe I read it wrong or something and then NOT getting my period I was kinda freaking out :) hahah

Yeah, it can kind of get confusing because every different brand of Pill seems to have different directions for how long you have to wait to be protected. For example, Alesse (the brand I currently use) only required one week.
