it's really a huge range of things.... I think it's mostly what you believe in and stand up for... like non-violence and <loveee3 ^.^ w00t w00t that's why I love hippies... they're all so different

I think some people ask just to hear other peoples opinion of what a "hippie" is. I think it is enlightening to hear the responses. And it just proves that there is no one definition of "hippie" just what people's unique perception of it is. It is a really interesting phenomenon if you think about it... My idea of a "hippie" includes a wide range of characteristics and extremes. I think I fit somewhere inside my definition however and usually say that I don't consider myself a "hardcore" hippie.
i think a hippy is your belifes and your thoughts. and on political issues, its also believing that peace is the solution to any problem, its not where u live or when you were born its just the thot and feeling you give yourself. u must love yourself and not get deppressed and even if u do try to meditate and think of happy thouts. do wat i do listen to the grateful dead, phish , and jefferson airplane
i think a hippie is some one who as Peaceful Willow says believes in peace and righteousness and themselves. i also thin k a hippie is someone who believes that there should not be a set of "social classes" and that there should be a "man" sticking it to us. and making us work hard to make things like money i think hippies just like the world arround us and love nature and that is good enough for us and is better thn money
When you believe in hippie ethics. Such as "make love not war" and "save the earth". Anybody who says there is a hippie is one to me.
