it takes two to tango... I think a lot of women were quite happy with a lot of aspects of the way things were... infact there are still many women who act as if there never was any changes made, still expecting all the same sexist aspects of life that suits them. Also there are many that are happy to take equality as something they can accept the positive aspects of whilst rejecting the things that they don't like.... one of the biggest challenges the feminist movement had was convincing other women about how they should fight for equality, hmmmm... well, I hate racism and I hate sexism, and that means either-way round. Racism and sexism flows in both directions and always has, it's just the dominating force is the one that gets the blame. Until the divide and labeling and comparing of race and sex stops from every single person then there will be no equality. haha.. well, did I ramble on? did I? YES, I think I did
