I wonder what would happen if all smokers got together and just smoked in public in large groups. The cops cant get us all, there is not enough room to hold us all. What could they do about it?
No, they'd call it an illegal protest (because you don't have a permit...a permit to protest, that's fucking bullshit, but really it's own topic). Thus, they'd call in their shock troops, er, I mean the riot police, and arrest you all, or at least beat and gas you. Remember, cops hate freedom.
that sounds like a great concept, but like trippinBTM said, they would just call in more troops and gas you guys. A huge group is only going to attract attention anyway.
So true... Hm... I think it was called WOODSTOCK! U ever see footage from the 60's one? EVERYONE was tokin up... police didnt give a shit at the time (at least the ones in that area) hell, they were probably out there smokin with them... (plus I think it was a private event, so cops cudnt crash it). A really good example would be Hash Bash in Ann Arbor, Michigan here... someone reserves a bunch of city blocks, or a park, no cops.... everyone just GETS HIGH. Awsome, I went last year.
yes, but like mentioned before, those people had permits to have a huge gathering. Also, unlike woodstock, even during the Hash Bash and the Freedom Festivals people get arrested. There isn't any place or gathering in America that cops AREN'T allowed.
They do have thier own laws and officials, but you have to be a resident to fall under thier rule. If I was toking one in the car and I got stopped by a cop on a reservation, if I'm not Native American, I can be arrested. Also, the feds and state gov't are interfering with reservations all the time trying to tax them and make them comply with all the laws that we have.
I don't think the Native Americans deserve to be screwed any more than they already have been, so maybe we should leave their reservations out of it.
I wasn't saying that we as citizens should go and terrorize them I just wanted to point out the fact that cops can't touch them. They have their own rules and government.
It's true. It's so sad how much they've been fucked with. Also, Shaba, in Canada, it's more decriminalized than here in the US. Big public smoke sessions aren't as big a deal there.
If everyone in the states that smoked went to a huge smokeing session then there would be millions of people and the cops wouldnt do shit because thats like a army of stoners and they wouldnt be able to fit em all in jail but i dont think thats goin to happen anytime sooon
Every 420 here In Boulder, hundreds of collage kids get togeather and smoke in the stadium. This year they tried to turn the sprinklers on them .
