i did feel like i helped a little this year, this girl was whacked out on god knows what passed out on our blanket so we went and got someone to help her cause she was completely bugging out, thankfully we weren't dosed up or anything but we def. felt like we helped cause this guy came up and admired us for not just leaving her there like everyone else did... it sucks but when you get that many people together, and such an array of drugs and heat, it's going to happen...
Security was spotty to say the least. We went in on Thursday afternoon through the I-24 entrance, and were not searched, saw no cops or dogs, were asked if we had an RV pass, (driving a p/u with camper top) said "no", then were told "o.k. whatever"..., "just follow those RV's!" N20 was everywhere and that seemed to be the only thing that was being lightly scrutinized in the part of the campground where we were at.
yeah, its amazing in a crowd thats so 'unity' and 'peace' that most people didnt do shit. i gave out SO many water bottles to people who were looking like shit since in that heat its easy to pass out... i was wandering back through the crowd to my friends at one of the shows and saw a guy crying and a girl laying down puking... when i gave them water and told the guy id get security the guy said she'd been ill for 10 minutes or so and no one even looked twice. i dont get that. im sure more people were caring and helpful, though... its not like in that crowd i could have seen even a small portion of wht happened. but as you said, with that many people and a good chunk of them going there for the drugs almost as much as the music it seems, some stuff is about to happen. and in that heat its almost innevitable, it just sucks that it can cost people their lives.
