I just wanted to bitch about the fucking smog today on this public forum, but then I realized that no one here will probably give a shit. So I tried to search for a local forum covering Hamilton or at least Southern Ontario, but my search came up empty. Does anyone know one a good free-speech open-topic site like this one that I can go to, or failing that, give me some suggestions to start my own site? Anyway, I wanted to say that the smog here was worse today than I think I've ever seen it. I realize we are an industrial town, but really, it's disgusting that I can't even see the colour of the trees 100 metres away. Is it naturally smoggy like this cause of the heat, or are we way too polluted. Maybe the filthy lake is evaporating too much.....
Same here in Toronto, man Sometimes the smog is so bad we can't even see the buildings far away, let alone the blue sky! It's all gray and sad... not to mention hot as hell! I don't think there is such thing as "naturally smoggy".. cause the word smog comes from fog + smoke, right? It's all just too damn polluted! It gets hot because of the smog (pollution) which causes people to over use their air conditioners which causes more heat... it's a never ending cycle... *sigh* I went to Nappanee this weekend with my family and as we drove away from Toronto and looked back, we could literally and clearly see a big cloud of smog over the city... Imagine the stuff we're breathing 24/7! Scary! Oh btw, I don't know of any forum/site other than this one.. sorry!
You can feel it too, run your hand through the air, it feels thick. And it smells too!!! I watch from the go train as I head east of TO everyday and see exactly what you are talking about Nata. Disgusting.
