well, seein as how my original post was deleted for whatever reason, i have nothing but this to say... =w=
weezer...I think they arent my perosnal fav but thats my opinion so i'm not gonna rag on them and say they suck
Were they that band that had a song with the line "I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby" in it on MTV a few years ago? If so, a Weezer appreciation thread seems very ridiculous to me. Oh wait, a quick search points out that that band is called Wheatus. Nevermind.
Pinkerton is a great album. The blue album is also very good, but their other records don't grab me no matter how much I listen. I think they miss Matt Sharp in a lot of ways.
I love Weezer, completely. I've seen them twice. The last time was in Chicago at the Aragon Ballroom. It rocked so much. There were only about three thousand or so people there. My girlfriend and I mushed and moshed our way to the front. It was so sweet! In conclusion, I love Weezer.
Why does the biggest majority of people who "love" weezer happen to be under 18? Just my observation.
Ok, just came back from the concert and most people where university students and about 20 year olds. I'd say most true weezer fans are 18+ as they were there in the 90's when they really hit off.
agreed... horrible, horrible band. if this is what you call the "greatest band ever" then i'd love to know whats the worst band ever.
i enjoyed their first 2 albums immensly. They have some such unforgetable songs like "my name is jonas", "the sweater song", "el scorcho", "the good life", they were so good. Weezer were really the first band i remember really getting into. But the second coming of weezer(as i like to call it), just isnt the same for me. The green album had its moments, "island on the sun" was a good song, but other then that it wasnt that great. And then maladroit came, and they werent the same to me. I heard their new song "beverly hills", and i think that is their worst song ever, dont like it one bit. I will still listen to their first two albums though.
