this is what blows me away, he has 10 felony counts against him and the max he could get was 3 to 18. now, working in a law office we have a client who was recently arrested for molestation. he admitted to touching under the panties and under the shirt the police have that on tape. ok, so they are charging him with conspiracy, plus the molestation charge, his offer just on this one count was 12 years. now they have brought in a second victim, his offer now is 25 to life. second scenario, we also have a rape case, this guy totally fist fucked this woman, tore her up to the point that she almost bled to death and had to get reconstructive surgery to fix things. his offer----11 years. i just dont get the sentencing on Michael Jacksons charges. mind you i do believe that it was 3-18 years for each charge maybe, i dont really know, didnt pay that much attention actually. i dont think they had a strong case to begin with or the sentencing elements would have been much bigger.

i am undecided on if he did it or not.

 

my mom watched the whole thing unfold (she usually only works 3 days a week and is obsessed with court tv) and she really thinks he did not do it, she said that the jury didn't even convict him of giving the minors alcohol... and she really believes that not convicting of ANYthing means they really believe he is innocent, a good guy. he's just incredibly eccentric and never really grew up. (or had much of a childhood for that matter)

she was sad though today because he apparently filed for bankruptcy and is selling neverland ranch because of the trial. even though he has been proven to be innocent, his life is ruined, even more so than it already was.
