It seems quite clear to me what theyre doing with reality tv. It's an easy and cheap way to make money through television. In addition they're preparing society to accept cameras on them at almost all times of their life and adapt to being on camera. Right now theyre plotting another one and the whole concept is viewing other people's lives with 'entertaining' stipulations. This further inspires better and more efficient ways of doing so. Big brother is visiting.

  2. I suppose this could go in paranoid, but they are making being watched a good thing.... so there you are.

It's just cheap entertainment this way. Take some footage from cop cars, from security cameras, people's camcorders, from the cameras in the LA courtroom showing the latest California murder trial (what cable news channel wants go out and spend money gathering real stories?) or just put a camcorder in front of people on the sofa. It's cheap and easy.

Hidden motive #1: get the public to think that you are spending hoards of money on 'great' shows when in reality you are doing them dirt cheap.

Instead of following Ozzie Ozborne, why don't we do a reality show where we follow the board members of a TV network around and eavesdrop on them about how they come up with dirt cheap shows to pass off as entertainment to the general public.

The thing I've noticed with reality tv is that as it has gotten so popular, it seems people have changed how the act in real life... like they ARE on a reality tv show all the time. Not only is it training us to be watched, but it's feeding us the images of how "real" people act, and has turned much of the world into a big untaped reality show.

    reality shows....

fucker, the most evil of evil. it's trainging people how to live their lives, instead of thinking, we'll show you how to live. wait a minute governments have been doing that forever through the media, so i'm not that suprised that the reality fad caught on so easily.

you may be on to something here my friend, i mean they video tape me at school, at the plaza where us kids get food at lunch, on the highways, at work... they are watching.
