Very sad, but I do believe this is true. (this is just an opinion, not ment to offend anyone.)

This is a large part of the reason why I left Catholicism; I had a hard time believing in a religion that, on one hand, tells you to love everyone equally as Jesus taught, but on the other hand, condemn the sinners ie homosexuals, women who 'disobey' their husbands, or anyone who practices any other faith.

I had a very hard time believing in a religion who had child molestors who preaches sermons every sunday, and instead of serving jail time as they ought to, they just got transferred to a different congregation and were still permitted to be around children.

I don't agree in confession, that by simply confessing sins to an already sinning priest (hey, they're human too) it completely absolves you from murder, rape, and severe crimes, and the priest won't turn you in even though you may be a threat to the community.

There's a lot of generalizing, and I'm very sorry that I'm this critical about the Church, but that's just how I feel, and it's very sad. I know many others who also feel this way, and have converted to a different branch of christianity or even cut out religion entirely from their lives because of some of these reasons.

    I don't think that's what he said.

I do believe that there are two forces that can forgive me for my wrong doings: the god I choose to worship, and the person I've done the wrong to. Some priest or religious leader can't give me forgiveness.

I have issues with catholicism, but not with catholics. I've been to a catholic service or two: first you stand, then you sit back down, then you stand up again, then you have to kneel then stan and sit. It is altogether too much like work. I require a more sedate service.

Plus: I think the front row should be all recliners.
