In light of a recent 'protest' post by a member who was using a few different monikers I suggest we start a thread in which we argue with ourselves. In the tradition of the likes of Sir Thomas Moore and such let us practice disputation at it's finest. No hiding behind false names, one name only, an open display of debate skills, with ourselves. Could be kinda funky and fun. I d/k what to start off with so either somebody throw out the first pickle or after a few days I'll pick something off the rack. Remember, no alternate names, (ie element7 can argue with himself publicly but not as bigdipshit37 :)) It's an exercise that has long been practiced in traditonal schools towards logic and the razor of reason. Let us have a ball.

So far it doesn't look like you have many takers. I'm potentially interested. Well not really potentially interested in arguing with myself. Just looking for some interesting discussion. Actually not even that. More like winning other people over to my point of view. My brain is starving -- for contact with other people who see the truth. There are some ideas I could throw out. But I'm so discouraged with the human race I don't even feel like it's worth it. And this website. I'm obviously not going to get anywhere with people who can't even see past libertarianism.

Tell you what. Let me think about things. Maybe I'll get up the motivation to introduce a topic. Maybe I'll do it here or maybe I'll start a new thread. It's just hardly worth it.

Here's how bad off I am right now. The only effort I can muster is to point out a grammatical mistake you made. This is something I never do because it's so nit-picky. (There are differing views on how important grammar is. I used to think it was very important. I now realiize it's not. But it's hard to overcome old prejudices. That feeling you get when you hear others use wrong grammar like "Man are they ignorant.") Anyway you don't mean "it's finest". It's = it is. You mean "its finest". A stupid convention in english where a possessive doesn't have an apostrophe. This doesn't mean you are ignorant, it probably means you made a mistake like I often do. And even those who are ignorant are not to blame for their (past) ignorance and there's absolutely no reason to hold it against them. The grammar error that (still) bothers me the most (according to my old prejudices) however is when people say "for John and I." It still kind of drives me up a wall. Note: fact: George Herbert Walker Bush (the senior George Bush) was not beyond making this mistake. It was one of my first clues that he might actually be -- ignorant. As if you could judge a whole person on just one little thing. But I am trying to over come this prejudice.

You see how bad off I am right now.

I argue with myself way to much, but you know how you end arguements? You lie, or scream really loud, or maybe its kind of like a mental orgasim, except the opposite.
