My painting of John Lennon

it is not realistic but it does'nt need to. It throws his personality and yours at me. Well done! To many people go for realistic and end up all looking the same, let YOU come through and then it is art in my opinion.

 

I like it, especially the shadows, makes it look more real

 

Thats more original than just a normal painting. Great job! Alot better than Id have done.

I love it!!! I really like how you made his face longer, and the glasses are great!

 

I like the contrast; but the background is a little too dark IMO. The value is very good, but the hair on the left side seems to fade into the background; makes it look slightly off balance.

Overall a very good portrait though; good job!
