how painful is this to get done? ive heard mixed stories, and im thinking of getting it done tomorrow, so prolly by the time anyone replies ill already have it! i had my ears done and never minded it, and my belly button which took forever to heal, and i have a tattoo on my back too..... do they heal quickly? cheers! N x
i got my nose pierced about four years ago...it didn't find it to be painful at all, and as long as you take care of it properly, it heals fairly quickly....so i say go for it......
I had mine done, and it went so fast and I was so nervous, I barely felt anything, and was totally weird acting afterward. The healing took a lot longer then the ear ones.... this is due to cardilage, it is there's less bloodflow, and infections are harder to fight. mine took about a month. But never had a problem since. good Luck. I think nose piercings are very beautiful
mine didn't hurt at all.. and i'm horrible with pain. the piercer was a buddy of mine, and he warned me that my eyes would water, not because i couldn't tolerate the pain, but because of the pinching nerves in the nose makes everyones eyes water... but my eyes didn't water at all because they were too dry from all the smoking i had done beforehand. it healed up real fast, never had a problem with it (although i did take excellent aftercare of it). i had a nostril screw right away, though some say that a ring is better at first 'cause it's easier to clean. and although this is probably obvious and you've heard it a million times, i'm sure, don't get a straight stud, get a screw-style stud. it will probably take a little getting used to when you change it, but it's not hard to figure out. anyway, good luck, have fun and i hope it is an awesome experience!
I got mine done in June. It didn't bother me until about a half hour after I got it done. I've had a few problems, so I don't have it anymore. First off, make sure you don't use the wrong cleaners to clean it out with..SEA SALT SEA SALT!! I got this huge bump at the piercing, it was horrible! After cleaning it with sea salt for a few days it went completley away. Whenever you put on a hoodie or an over the head shirt...clearn way for your nose! Not even a month after I got it done my hoodie pulled it almost all the way out. It hurt like a bitch!!! I was never told this, and I probably should have known anyways, but if you get the straight stud, take it out and put it back in every day. Yup...it closed up around the post. Hurt wicked bad to take it out. Avoid everything I did wrong and you'll be fine! LOL I still miss the piercing so much!
My friend got his nose pierced a while back, and he said it took about a month and a half to heal, only because he didn't take care of it properly. So I think if you take care of it properly, everything should be OK and it should heal quicker than a month and a half.
it was my easiest piercing ( i actually LIKE having it done..... i dunno, it feels good to me and what can i say the piercers are ususally hotties) i've had it done about 5x already in the same spot because it's fallen out or i've taken it out and lost the ring so many times in the last 4 years~ and its always healed quicker than it was supposed to. it's like a quick pinch and then your eyes water a little and bam you've got a cute little stud in your nose! i love nose piercings on people and it's my favorite one for myself as well.......... have fun with it! oh and also i would say that a cork screw back is the easiest way to go......i think so anyway. when you use a q-tip to clean it you can also rotate it really easy with the q-tip as well.
I got mine pierced three years ago, and it was completely fine. It only hurt while the needle was in... endorphins kicked in enough while she was putting the jewelry in that I barely noticed it. I was a little light-headed for a while, and I did feel a bit nauseous about half an hour later. I cleaned it regularly with neutrogena unscented soap and it healed within a month and a bit, never got infected, never hurt to clean. I got it pierced with a ring, which is definately easier to clean (compared to the studs I had in my ears when I got them pierced a few years before that) and once it healed, I changed to a stud which I haven't changed from yet. I think they're a great piercing... they look good on almost everyone and having a little sparkle on the side of your nose is cute.
cheers for the advice everyone, i now have a beautiful, but slightly painful, jem on the left side on my nose wasn't too bad, although hurts when i yawn.....he he! thanks again folkies N x
I really wanna get my nose pierced before i go to college in august- but i have an extremely hard time with pain and i am debating on whether i should really get one or not. i would LOVE one, but the pain thing is hurting my possibilities is it really bad? or is there something that you can take beforehand so it wont hurt as much???
oh it's nothing! but i enjoyed the sensation so hey. depending on where in illinois you live, i would reccomend jade dragon on belmont in chicago. a little hard to get to if you're southern but its worth it. they spray this stuff on it to numb the area for a second and it doesnt hurt at all. careful if you get a ring, snagging and kissing and whatnot.
i luve mine, ive had it almost a year. itll stop hurtin when u yawn in less than three days. jst dnt even take the stud out and leave it out for long even after uve had it a long time. it hurts like a bitch to put back on...at least for me
I got it done on my 11th birthday. It didn't realy hurt, just mademy eyes water and stinged a little afterwards.
Mine wasn't painful at all, it just felt like someone had pinched me and they had nails lol! But it didn't hurt. The main thing is to close your eyes, otherwise you can see the needle which isn't always the best view hehe. All it did was make my eyes water and mine healed in about 3 months although I didn't take it out for about 8.
hehe, why do everybody ask how much it hurts... Pain doesn't exist, only the fear of it, just don't think of it and you wont feel a thing
