like, set a password for login?

    well, on xp,

go start - settings - control panel - user accounts

inside there, it should have a few options, it's pretty self explanatory.

then, after you set an admin password, or user password,

go into your desktop settings, where you can change the screen saver, and tell it to use a password on resume.

Go into your Control Panel, and choose the "USERS" option. From there, you can create yourself as a user, and create a password. If YOU are the only person who uses the computer, when you first boot up, hit either "Delete" or F1 or F2. Depends on your comuter manufacturer. From the Bios menu, you can create both "Supervisor" and "User" passwords. Make it something you can remember, but NOBODY can guess.
That'll keep the little pest out of your business.

    Thanks.

I have set a password for starting the computer and one that activates when the screensaver is activated.

Thanks for your help. (It works also when you hit the windows button + the L ((I think)).

If you want extra protection you can also set a boot password like I have on my laptop. What that does is it prompts for a password the moment you turn on your computer, and ( dunno if all do this but mine does ) if the correct one is not entered in a few minutes it will shut down. But again thats not really necessary, I'm a paranoid person. ;)

Whoops, yeah I guess I missed that part, I thought you were giving instructions on just regular passwords for user accounts. Sorry about that. ;) BIOS is a good protection though, as long as you dont forget it. ;)
