it is very doable. If you research hard enough you will find that there are even ways to get past some of the legality issues.
There is nothing hard about an ecstacy synth. Anyone with two semesters of college level chemistry should be familiar with the concepts and techniques, although anyone can teach themselves rather easily. Brightstar was a good guy, I haven't talked to him in years, but he did provide a very clear and concise writeup, as linked to earlier in this thread. If you do go that route, I would suggest you do an Al/Hg amalgam with nitromethane for the amination, or a delepene with hexmethylenetetramine to yeild MDA. MUCH easier than the reductive amination outlined ala brightstar, and no making methylamine! Both of those routes are written up on rhodium, and archived on erowid just like that link to brightstar's writeup a couple of posts ago. Just remember, prison is NOT fun, and if you are arrested doing this you will most certainly be there for quite a bit of time. If you still want to try, good luck.
