These news stories sound like jokes but they are real. http://www.canada.com/ottawa/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=87634608-b248-44c7-b1bc-d6e8ef4771f3 "In an example of the anti-nipple phenomenon, Canadian actress Pamela Anderson complained that network censors ordered her nipples be 'taped down' during filming of her new TV series, Stacked, so as not to offend prime-time audiences."
oh for fucks sake, what is the world coming to. even guys have nipples...would they complain about a guy's nipples poking through his shirt, or being bared even? No. OH NO A NIPPLE! ugh.
another comment. So, violence is common in TV, but... nipples poking through a shirt is a no-no. What the fuck? In other words, we can be subjected to viewing people kill each other, beat each other up, etc from the time we're babies on common television, sometimes even SITCOMS, but a fucking nipple is offending? I just dont get it.
I saw some of the first show and, dang!, her nipples were noticably sticking out. I'd think that would just boost their ratings.
Besides its a huge waste of valuable money to use that technology anyways, especially since networks are always complaining about not having enough of a budget. One way to have enough money is to not waste it on trivial things like nipple erasing technology. Best way to censor things is simply to turn the channel. Doesnt cost anything.
