I just got back from 2+ weeks in Sri Lanka through Global Crossroads. It was NOT a scam and they did an exceptional job with the reconstruction effort. I found this negative forum before I went and was a little hesitant because of it. I researched online and found an article in the USA Today about the organization and decided to give it a shot. Best decision I've ever made. We built a home for a family who lost theirs in the tsunami along with their father/husband and their only form of transportation (his taxi). The family was unbelievably grateful and I feel its my duty to defend Global Crossroad (regardless of how many read this). If you doubt my background of my involvement with GC, please email me at DSkurky@hotmail.com and i'll send photographs and proof of the legitimacy of them organization.

hm.. cool.. maybe it was something in their past? Like a bad board of directors.. and they are now doing better? Or maybe it has to do with the specific country (like China is pretty corrupt, so maybe they are having trouble being there and all...)

Anywho.. cool that you got to help out that family.. respect!

Global Crossroad has assured me that they have re-structured their China programs and they are running under new management. This matter has been settled to my satisfaction.
