The doors are so great when you're stoned. I was listening to "American Prayer" by Jim Morrison the other night, and fuck! that shit's amazing. Jim Morrison/the Doors are the shit. :)

Doors were good, too bad Jim Mo died, his writing could have gotten a lot better.

The men don't know but the little girls understand, all right, yeah. Doors rock, but like a flower it's beautiful in it's time, I think it's lifespan and purpose was well served. As it happens too often a band is a hit at first then gets stagnant and maybe just hangs around putting out crap songs long after the inspiration has worn off. I'm glad this never happened to the doors, they're perfectly preserved in time.

I think keyboardist Ray Manzarek came up with most the catchy tunes anyhow, but morrisons voice really helps set the mood. It all comes together great.

"Twentieth-century culture’s disease is the inability to feel their reality. People cluster to TV, soap operas, movies, theater, pop idols and they have wild emotion over symbols. But in the reality of their own lives, they’re emotionally dead." -Jim Morrison
