please, if you are a creature of logic at all you have to concede to the face that your god isnt the "right" god and your bible really means shit when it comes down to it. christ isnt coming back, no one goes to heaven or hell, you are living as blind as you think other people are. just wake up.

Grow up and stop bashing people. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe, same as your entitled to not believe, but theres no reason to post crap like that

I think that could constitute as venting. Ordinarily I wouldn't say "your wrong" to a Christian but there have been times when I sure wanted to.

 

venting is usually about somethign specific though...like if it were...

"eeerrggg, these christains around here are always yelling helfire and brimestone at me, and yadda yadda yadda" then it would be like, yeah, ok, those people are the target of the venting, but i eman, just "chirstains arent right, and what they beleive is wrong wake up" isnt really a vent, more of a slight attack [note the word slight] cause it is hard to word things against somethign without sounding like an attack i give you that

 

Sitting on the sidelines I'm always amused when skeptics use the same kind of circular reasoning and tactics they always accuse christians of using.

So basically you're saying christians should stop having faith in the bible and have faith in you? You made a statement but you didn't explain it.

what if someone came up to you and said "Hey Boss! Wake up!! You were adopted!! Your parents aren't really your parents!!" and never explained how they came up with that idea?

Would you just go "Gee, I never realised.."

So basically you're telling christians they should forget about what their religion says and believe what you say, just because you said it.

well this isnt a christianity forum though, this is under the general philosophy and religion...but I agree that whoever that is, is acting like a fucknut.

I hate it when people push their beliefs onto other people.

And, Boss D.J., you're probably one of those who get pissed when christians push their beliefs on you aren't you? Hypocrite. Granted I'm not a christian by any means... I also dont make utterly useless threads telling other people that their religion is wrong.

 

Actully, I tend to agree with him - maybe he' just trying to 'save' you...

well, i see how this could anger people, and maybe i was too harsh. i'm not taking back what i said but i will clarify. in my town there is a group of people that call themselves th coalitian of christ (no joke). several of them attend my school and they always preach to everyone about the usual crap you see protrayed in movies, judgment day, repentance, the antichrist, etc. now, after speaking to them, they beieve that if you are not a christian you cant go to "heaven" and your basically doomed. they also belive that christ was not jewish and that was just fabricated by the jews to disguise thier religion which is also a cult (ok, i do have to apolagize now because they are starting to sound more like nazis than anything else). i asked if anybody that isnt a "christain" can be happy in thier after life and they believe not.

now, i know...why are you basing your opinion on a radical, and obviously millitant group mascarading around under the christian name? well, after speaking with them i decided to take a survey of 200 people that i knew to be religious, it had many questions but the main one i was keeping track of was "do all non-christians (including jews) go to hell. and i was shocked when 162 replied yes. now, this is one community, but after this i was lead to do more reasearch. i did the same thing in my home town while visiting my cousins and 143 replied yes. this is what lead to my "bashing", the idea that most christians believe that there religion is the only acceptable one out there.

also, 2 people belive carrot top is the anti-christ.

 

I am a Christ Follower. I may not fit in with the organized religion But I know God is out there watching over us.

 

I don't mean to be rude, though I realize you might take offense to what I say here.

Ever get that feeling that someone's behind you, or someone's watching you? Yeah, me too. That doesn't mean they are there though. Even if you hear a twig snap or a couple of stones drop behind you. And that happens a lot.

Perceptions aren't guaranteed. You may percieve that a God is out there, but you can't truly "know" it for sure. Nor can I "know" that one doesn't exist.
