Now that Kelso Wars has finished, it's time for me to present my new idea. A long time ago (in a galaxy far far away, lol) I had the idea of getting a cheap camcorder and doing a film type version of Kelso Wars. After realising that there are too many barriers such as distance, cost, lack of costuming and CGI, and that we can't hire Keef Richards for the end, I threw the idea away and came up with another. Instead of making a video of it, we rely on the audio medium. We make "Kelso Wars : The Radio Show". Remember my thread asking how many people had microphones? Yes, it had a reason. I make a script out of KW, people do the voices in Windows Sound Recorder and send them to me. I use my audio software to put them together into the right places. I add sound effects and background music when needed, then post the individual "episodes" up here as MP3 files for you all to donwload. All I need is a little webspace, people with microphones and...umm...a million dollars worth of merchandising. So, what do you people think? (Edit) Just putting a list of the volunteers up so I now who's on board and who isn't Power_13 (well duh!) TheFly Peace_Phoenix Ellie-Rose Claire? You didn't say yes, but you didn't say no either Kat. We'll get you one way or another :X Zeitgeist (I finally learnt how to spell it ) Dandy Mercy
I can steal a good quality microphone from school... don't know if I've got Windows Sound Recorder on this pc... but I'm up for the challenge... consider me signed up my fine young buckaroo... Fly...
Nice one It wouldn't be the same without TheFly as Fly-Gonn You can find Windows Sound Recorder in your start menu...Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder. It should be there, it's one of those things that Microsoft put into every version of Windows I hope there's a Mac alternative for any Mac users...
Yup... there it is... you'll have to give me an idiot proof guide about what to do... but I'm up for it... Fly...
No problem, it's just a case of hitting record and saying the lines. As long as you can find the right input socket on the PC (I couldn't find the right one for about a month, a long time ago :&). Just need to wait and see who else is interested. As long as we can get all the main characters and a few extras for the minor roles, it'll be fine
Good good I wonder if I can tweak a few reverb/echo settings in my recording stuff to give your voice that Darth Vader speaker voice... Oh, and I linked Kat to this. She refuses to do any beeping for us. Sal, if I make it to BD, we need to form a plan to get those beeps...
I wonder if you could add the line "I am The Phoenix, bow before me puny mortals!" to the script for the Radio Show, to be performed in its original spirit....
Ticklish beeps are always the best I'm getting ideas for a scene where you could do the puny mortal line, but it'll need a little work. We'll also need some more people. Come on you lot!
Maybe we could try prodding her, after all, was it not the Bard who said "Prick us, do we not bleep?"
Come on you people We're gonna need more than six people if this is gonna go somewhere. Where are the people who kept on asking me to include them in the story? Have they all disappeared?
Sorry ladies and gentlemen, I'm a bit dim. I should have set the poll to display the names of who voted for what. Since I'm a bit dim and didn't, if you're interested in being involved could you say? Just so I know who wants to be in it and who just wants to hear it
