man i loved your display pis the quote at the top of the photo. i put that exact quote for my msn name just right now. who is that pictured in the pic?
From what I understand the hard scientific evidence stemming from research is a catch 22 situation. In order to have it approved by the fda there must be more research, in order for there to be research, greater access must be approved by the fda. Something like that. But the right to prescribe and utilize it was already passed in Cali and yet the feds stepped in and said you can't grow your own medicine, basicly. It's all about cold hard $$$$$ and power. This should never have made it to a federal level to begin with. It makes me sick how now they face prosecution and after it's all said and done they will be required by law to buy something they could have grown for free (close to, a handful of seeds and some water). So, one more step towards outlawing being self sufficient/ making it illegal to provide for ones self. This kind of thing can set a precedent for other issues. Alot of people don't get that though, they see 'marijuana' and the propoganda brain rot kicks in. It's an easy target.
exactly. We're a long ways away from getting any kind of recreational use support. In fact, I don't even believe it should be legalized that way. There are too many irresponisble users and dealers. But those who depend on it everyday to move and eat and live pain-free are the ones who need our help, support, and our voice!
yeah if it was for rec use thered have too be too many restrictions but damnit those medical users NEED that shit in everyday life. my advice to everybody is if you see a medical user and they try to score from you, you give themt hat shit cheap!
I know a lady who uses bee stings to relieve pain and get back feeling in her legs from MS. Should bee's be illegal? Her doctor say's to her, "whatever works". So if marijuana works for an individual it should not be illegal, or criminalized or taxed because it is after all just a plant grown naturally by this earth lol just like us.
sucks but, stay positive.... keep smoking, I dunno... heh the government is lame, always will be /shrug fuck em
anyone see the news report on studio B on fox just now? it was a 6-3 decision the 3 other justices said the feds had no right to impose limits on sick people. they showed the plaintiff Angela something.....she gave the reporter a very sad statement, it seriously made me want to cry.....she looked so hurt and distressed.
ok...first headymoe I am saddened and I am sorry I am catching this thread so late... forgive me ... second I just quickly want to throw in my two sense worth...everytime I am involved in any kinda debate or disscusion concerning marijana ...I have one question in my head...some have already said, I am sure but I am a busy girl today so I do not have time to read the whole thread right now but..... just this one question....and please don't give me a bunch of hallaballu about tests and evidence..because I am just a mommy and house wife ...here we go.... why when there is enough prove to require the surgyn generals warning on every pack of cigarettes.... stating that they are unhealthy and have been known to cause cancer..... do so many people keep that drug legal ..or heck even choose to do it ...and so many people choose to frighten others about the use of marijana ...even tho it has not ever been proven to cause cancer....and even if you are against the legalization of "pot" is this not just a little confusing? like i said i am sure somebody has already pointed this out ..so to who ever you are that did ....we agree
Please help us counteract this measure,,,,,, congress is voting on a bill soon that could stop the federal gov from harassing medical patients... please follow this link and take action. http://www.mpp.org/USA/action.html it a simple e-mail to congress, and much more effective than ranting... though id really like to rant right now, my grow got documented by the local sheriff last week. I am on the frontline, and you can help by following the link.....
AOL News - Plaintiffs Say They'll Continue to Use Marijuana I read that a few minutes ago and then got on this forum and saw the thread, man this sucks. Before Bush's term is over with the US will probably resemble Nazi Germany. We definately need someone younger as President, someone around 35-45. I love your signature Libertine. Think For yourself Question authority, do you mind if I put that in my signature?
what a long thread...anyhow, i just wanted to say that this truely is disgusting. Its as if the government wants thoughs people who need marijuana to get through life to die. Thats just wrong...
“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others; the Constitution of the Republic should make a special privilege for medical freedoms as well as religious freedom.” -- Attributed to Dr. Benjamin Rush, M.D., a signer of the Declaration of Independence First, I'd like to agree, the feds have no right to control states' medical laws, they're overstepping their bounds, and the Supreme Court should not have even reviewed this case. Second, why on earth would any of you be even considering making tobacco illegal. People, PROHIBITION DOES NOT WORK. Why legalize one drug, and put another in it's place? The only thing that changes is who is being arrested for what. There must be other solutions, mainly, information. Even then, some will choose to use these drugs, AND THAT IS THEIR RIGHT. Third, DHS, if all of America (and right now at least three quarters qualify for this) were pro med-pot, then the politicians would have to take notice. The only important thing is that the public is vocal. To ignore such a VOCAL majority (vocal implies speaking with your vote as well as your tongue) would be political suicide. Fourth, someone said that once our generation is in office, we'll do better. Well, they said that about the hippie generation of the 60's and 70's and they all sold out. So will ours, unless we get vocal. Since this is all about money, if we are quiet, a few petitions and meager marches won't cut it. Even a few states legalizing med-pot or even recreational won't, because the feds won't listen and will declare the states' legalization invalid. This stupid law stands at a federal level, so we have to work on a federal level. This is why, despite even scientific evidence saying marijuana isn't harmful (and what business does the gov't have in stoppinig me from harming myself? Am I a child?), money talks, and the drug companies have a lot of it. So do, indicentally, paper companies and petrochemical producers.
Marijuana extended my fathers life, by stimulating appetite and easing naseau. Marijuana cuts the occurance and severity of my brother's seizures. Marijuana eases pain from a back injury I suffered without side effects. If the feds try to take MY marijuana, they'll have a fight on their hands.
Um........... insulting me for voicing my opinion typical of those like yourself. I didn't say anything about christianity, you want so bad to be in an uproar and defend religion that you completely dismiss everything I said- so much for peace. And I did defend everything I said with facts, but people with brains as myself we have opinions and sometimes we put them in there, but we dont put them off as facts- so get your facts straight. This topic was drugs not religion so um yeah get with it!
