check out deep forest.......earthy, new age, ambient/techno. Their self titled debut is their best album IMO.

i think it because of the fact ive seen them live many times before, they change stuff/improvise and it sounds a helluva a lot better than some of the stuff recorded...you think "why didnt they do that on there"

shaun ryders an arse, a fat arse, he hit a girl:eek:

    but he is very talented

I kind of like Arcana, which is basically ambient, or at least consists of melancholic medieval ambiances, melodies and drum "marches", done on real instruments.

I don't like the notion of music made with computers. It seems so soulless, somehow.

For ambient check out Carbon Based Lifeforms, Prometheus, Stress Assasin, Toires, Boards of Canada, Shpongle, Future Sound of London, OTT, Blowfish and the "Back Room Beats" and "Fahrenheit Project" compilations.

My recommendations for psychedelic trance are Penta, Gregh on Earth, Neural Rectifyer Syndrom, PhasePhour, Ram, Derango, Battle of the Future Buddhas, Logic Bomb, Spindrift, Datakult, Ka-Sol, Sienis....could go on for ages.

If you are a dc++ user you will find most of the stuff mentioned at one of the following hubs: psyrussia.kicks-ass.net, psykoosi.no-ip.info, PsyIsreal.no-ip.org, psyside.no-ip.org, microdots.kicks-ass.net

    Have fun :)

hey man live electronica is the best. the only house i listen to is live, i hate the recorded stuff. and by house i meqan strictly house. other electronica genres like techno and trance i listen to everything. but here are some great live bands or djs (in no particular order):

    sound tribe sector nine
    the new deal
    signal path
    thievery corporation
    dj shadow
    dj logic
    dj harry
    Disco Biscuits
    Brothers Past
    Lotus

these guys are all great. sts9 are prob my fav. if i want to really chill out and maybe take a nap i listen to signal path. disco biscuits are great for high energy stuff. fuck it, they're all great. enjoy.

    peace

Or you could go straight to the source, go to an Indian grocery, and ask for "bhangra" - make sure you specify remix though. DJ Jiten from Toronto, Sonar from Cali? etc. are good
