My first dress! yay!

ok all you ppl that make dresses-what did i do wrong here? I know for a fact i did something wrong cuz its not as good as the ones i see here.

What am i doing wrong?

the bodice looks superfabulouso....throw a ruffle on the bottom..n maybe some pockets from the same fabric as the bodice...

Hey I think it looks awesome, and looks good on you I don't think it's too short either. Some long skirts and dresses just get too hot for me, so I'm constantly holding it up, twirling around, etc. Well, it just gets too hot here. When we were at a phish show 2 summers ago it was like 108. And it gets hotter in my part of the state! Show a little leg, it's sexy

definatly add a pocket, and I love the length, almost every skirt and dress I make hit above the ankles, it's the perfect length :0)

 

I love the bodice,you did great. There's nothing at all wrong with that dress.

i don't see anything wrong with it. i wish i had your boobs. they're hot. and im hitting on you, (i dont cover it up like all the other girls lol jk) I would definitely add pockets of the same fabric as the bodice and a ruffle, or like a really big hem of the same fabric as the bodice as well

it looks gorgeous welldone girl i definately agree, pockets would look great..itd be good to get some of the top fabric on the skirt..maybe bind the bottom hem in the top fabric? or add cute patch pockets..they can be any shape you like...or you could slit up the centre back seam of the skirt and add a godet of the top fabric, if you add a traingular shape piece of fabric you could then sew up the seam that you cut slightly at the top so that the contrasting fabric peeked out from underneath.. :S does that make sense?? any just some ideas...it looks fabby right now so be proud!!
