Phish, fairwell tour, Saratoga NY

It was yesterday and the day before, I couldn't afford tickets so I just walked around 'toga and talked to people and such. It was still good times, but unfortunately I blew all my money on records and hemp chocolate before I could find any herbs. Oh well, it's not like I didn't still have a great time..

haha I know, but I'd rather have pizza hemp chocolate and a new record NOW rather than buy herb that I have to wait till I get home to smoke (Saratoga is LOADED with cameras and coppers)

I would've just went to Phish (and found a way to get the money) but I went to Rhode Island with my dad for Fathers Day and came back around 1pm yesterday.

 

Was at SPAC both days and had in absolutely INCREDIBLE time. The boys were on fire and having such a wonderfull time, big smiles on thier faces. You could feel the energy just oozing everywhere! I never danced so hard in my life. A friend of mine was staying in the same hotel with Phish and met Fishman. He said that the Piper was one of the sickest they have ever played, and it makes him think they made the wrong decision about breaking up...
And I met MIKE GORDON!!! I was so excited, but I kept my cool. I asked him as a fellow bass player, what would you recommend for playing bass and singing at the same time. Of course he said practice, practice, practice....but he really did think about it, and then he said..."Well I haven't even mastered it yet", to which I replied, "Of course you have! Your very modest" and he just smiled and I shook his hand and said nice to meet you. How cool is that. Made my weekend. If there was anyone in the band I would choose to meet first, it would be him.
As far as smoking herb goes, I did see like 5 people get thier pieces taken away, but most of the people were smart and discreet about it, waiting until the show actually started and it was harder to get into the crowd. I didn't have a problem with it.
