depends on a lot of variables.
where? (different places have different laws)
who? (NOT their name - is their a previous criminal record, how old are they, etc)
    how much cid?
    any other charges?
can they afford to hire a lawyer?

Possibly no jail time at all for simple possession, just probation/community service/fines; for possession/intent maybe upwards of 9-12 months, depending on previous criminal record and the amount found on the suspect...

at some point, you'd be charged with conspiracy against the government; i imagine that would get you life in prison.

I read this one thing and if you have 10 hits I think but im not to sure cuz it was so long ago but I think you can get like 10-15 years for it. They consider it man slaughter just like having alot of X cuz people can die if you give them that many.

well they said that the traffickers could get up to 10 years and that he had a lesser charge than that so I figure it would be less than 10... just wondering how much less.

The problem with LSD law in America is that the carrier medium's weight is used in the determination of how much LSD they had. So a couple of sugar cubes is worth as much time as a few sheets... fucked up eh.

heres what i can find.. all feloneys if its lsd,, ..

an you know his "situation."ya know they at the least its will impose the maximum sentance on him no matter what the degree it is....sad but true..

but hey on the bright side if its a 5th degree,, he should be out in 6 months...;)

    Ohio state law..

    3. Prison Sentence Ranges for Five Categories of Offenses Based Only on the Offense of Conviction. These ranges are 1st degree felonies, 3-10 years; 2d degree, 2-8 years, 3rd degree 1-5 years; 4th degree, 6 months to 18 months; 5th degree, 6 months to 12 months.

    5) If the drug involved in the violation is L.S.D., whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of possession of L.S.D. The penalty for the offense shall be determined as follows:

    (a) Except as otherwise provided in division (C)(5)(b), (c), (d), (e), or (f) of this section, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the fifth degree, and division (B) of section 2929.13 of the Revised Code applies in determining whether to impose a prison term on the offender.

    (b) If the amount of L.S.D. involved exceeds ten unit doses but does not exceed fifty unit doses of L.S.D. in a solid form or exceeds one gram but does not exceed five grams of L.S.D. in a liquid concentrate, liquid extract, or liquid distillate form, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the fourth degree, and division (C) of section 2929.13 of the Revised Code applies in determining whether to impose a prison term on the offender.

    (c) If the amount of L.S.D. involved exceeds fifty unit doses, but does not exceed two hundred fifty unit doses of L.S.D. in a solid form or exceeds five grams but does not exceed twenty-five grams of L.S.D. in a liquid concentrate, liquid extract, or liquid distillate form, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the third degree, and there is a presumption for a prison term for the offense.

    (d) If the amount of L.S.D. involved exceeds two hundred fifty unit doses but does not exceed one thousand unit doses of L.S.D. in a solid form or exceeds twenty-five grams but does not exceed one hundred grams of L.S.D. in a liquid concentrate, liquid extract, or liquid distillate form, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the second degree, and the court shall impose as a mandatory prison term one of the prison terms prescribed for a felony of the second degree.

    (e) If the amount of L.S.D. involved exceeds one thousand unit doses but does not exceed five thousand unit doses of L.S.D. in a solid form or exceeds one hundred grams but does not exceed five hundred grams of L.S.D. in a liquid concentrate, liquid extract, or liquid distillate form, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the first degree, and the court shall impose as a mandatory prison term one of the prison terms prescribed for a felony of the first degree.

    (f) If the amount of L.S.D. involved exceeds five thousand unit doses of L.S.D. in a solid form or exceeds five hundred grams of L.S.D. in a liquid concentrate, liquid extract, or liquid distillate form, possession of L.S.D. is a felony of the first degree, and the court shall impose as a mandatory prison term the maximum prison term prescribed for a felony of the first degree and may impose an additional mandatory prison term prescribed for a major drug offender under division (D)(3)(b) of section 2929.14 of the Revised Code.

Damn that's harsh. jake, 10 hits of LSD will not kill anyone, people have taken 20,000 doses and lived to tell the tale.

It's all good man it happens.. i actually thought for a second that they might have updated their laws due to lack of logic... but looks like ignorance still prevails in the good ole land of fear.

Amazing is what I have to say, that in the land of the supposed free people are not allowed to decide what to put into their own bodies. You have child molesters, rapists and murderers allowed to be free all the time, only to commit more crimes, and law enforcement is spending millions and millions of dollars to bust peaceful people who use psychedelics recreationally.

This society is just so hypocritical.

Right. A bunch of fat rich politicians tell us we're born free but can't put what we want into our own bodies. I'm dealing with this type of legal BS right now, they seized my car and all my belongings in it thanks to the war on drugs. This was thursday and they still haven't let me get my house keys, my ID, or my phone. They've taken a real fucking threat to the public off the streets, let me assure you. Them keeping my identification and house keys is also detrimental to their investigation, I am sure.

If anybody is interested, you can read more in detail about that story in the psychedelics forum the thread is "It's Officer Ignoramus to You!"
