Yea, but I have tried and I also end up eating meat after a couple of days. I think alot of it is my enviroment. Just after watching Super Size Me and Reading "Dont Eat This Book" I cant believe some of the shit that goes on.

I guess you just have to start being more aware about what you put in your mouth. I find it good to consider each bit of food you put in as a choice. That way you are conciously thinking about it everytime. Being a vego is a choice you have to constantly make if you enjoy the taste of meat, its a battle, but think of the health benefits and the fact that you wont have to eat seared carcasses anymore

not long at all actually... so I know exactly how you feel.
Its a great thing though, thinking about what you eat, not only is it good for animals, but it is also good for you, passive consumption often leads to excess... and thats a bad thing... when you start thinking about your meals, you'll enjoy them more too

Yea, I went shopping last night and bought mostly fresh fruits. I have started to drink organic milk(even though its twice as much) I am tired of giving my money to people who are treating animals like shit...You should read "Dont Eat This Book" by Morgan Spurlock. It is awesome. I suggest it to everyone...it will make you wanna vegan after reading it...

It's good to see that you are making the change. Even though the organic milk cost twice as much as regular milk you are going to save money because of the lack of meat on the grocery bill. It really makes a difference.

i have been a vegetarian for a year and 8 months so im still fairly new at this but when i became one i just gave up meat completely. i still ate fish but now i dont even eat that. but i still eat eggs and drink milk. i couldnt give up cookies, but not all eggs have been fretilized so i figure its ok. as for your life style...honey please, i live in a hick town where everyone has barbques and hunts and watches sports with some beer. there are alternatives. i eat veggie burgers and theyre just like regular ones. they have almost anything made out of soy so its cool. but you'll get it! good luck and peace!

I quit cold turkey 4 years ago, I even ditched a nasty drug habit before ditching veganism. If you're a vegitarian you're a hypocrite. It sucked soo bad. I love cheese and Bacon more than I love newborns and kittens. I really don't believe in a higher power or afterlife per say so it just seemed silly to hold a moral highground when i fundamentally believe there is no such thing as right or wrong. I ate a bacon cheeseburger every day for a month and still enjoy them at least a few times a week. mmmm bacon.

maybe take a look at the munchies section, there's loads of good recipes there and the more vege recipes you learn to cook the easier it will be. try and have the mindset of substituting meat for healthier alternatives rather than just cutting it out, that way you're enriching your diet rather than depleting it. (if that makes sense!)

    and good luck!
