How can I make a nice blanket with all nice colorful square? I saw some at the market, they were REALLY nice, but REALLY expensive at the same time hehe.
pick out some nice fabric and sew squares together and then get some quilte padding and then sew on a abck and voilate. you have a nice quilt.
the 9 square pattern i use for my baby quilts looks tedious but its really not that bad..and its a cute simple design.. ya can look up patterns for all kinds of patchwork quilts online if you google away.. rock out
just a thought that could also turn out a bit funky... I saw this idea in a book and went a bit creative with it... The fronts of nice or colourful t-shirts can be cut into squares, sewn together and stuffed into a blanket. I collected a bunch of rock band t's and made this into a queen size bed. Once sewn, I decorated the blanked by making seed-beaded necklaces for the rock stars in the pictures, or added sequens or glittery fabric paint. It looks absolutely awesome now, but does need to be hand washed.
another thing you might want to try is crocheting squares and sewing them together. (i'm not absolutely addicted to yarn or anything. lol). if you've never crocheted before there is tons of help at about.ca and if you are into crocheting already, i have a ton of granny square patterns that i can email to you. good luck with your blanket!
