'Scuse me. I'm not really 'new' around here (I shyly enjoy reading this forum) but I'm new to posting in this category. So ::waving hi:: to all of the super-talented and friendly mamas around here. Just wanted to post a pic of a really easy girls' summer dress. I recommend it for a beginner - it wasn't really all that hard to do. Took about 4 hours (including kid interruptions, snack breaks, and american idol finale/fight club watching). The fabric had a nice tie-dye look to it. I think it cost around $2/yd. So... if anyone here is kinda new at makin clothes and is lookin for an easy project, this is a good start. I started off usin a pattern, but kinda winged a good portion of it. There's elastic in the back - I don't much like zippers yet. I was super happy with this! I love that feeling of pride when a project turns out decent! Okay, I'm done now! Hope this might inspire someone to take a go at somethin similar. Love, Christine aka trippy
Wow! Thanks ladies! You all have made me feel so good!! Woohoo ~ I think I even have enough encouragement to start a new project today! ~christine aka trippy
