i think it's pretty hot also... Like others were saying as long as it's not immediate family (i.e. siblings/parents) I think it's just fine, even to reproduce... look at royalty back in the day.... I think it could be a beautiful crazy thing... why not?

 

whiile you wouldn't catch me snogging any of my cousins in a lot of countries people marry their cousins...kissing cousins has not the same effect on genetics that was supposed, from a few recent studies I have seen somewhere (and no I can't remember but I swear I saw them)...and you don't seem to be talking about having babies with them. Seems to me the only problem would be if you are busted playing nooky by someone in your family who may be bothered by such a situation. If your cousins are as scary as mine however then I would reccomend no one kiss them, even if they are not related!!!

 

Hahahaha, that post cracks me up--mainly because I don't know how serious you are. Yeah, there's a big difference between attraction & procreation. The laws and the social stigma were designed to keep the world genetically kosher. But morally speaking? Pfft. Whatever. Oral sex is illegal in a few states.

But as long as we're talking genetics, I'll just say it's always best to make the most genetically diverse match when reproducing (listen to me; I was thrown out of the best macrobiology school on the east coast!). Sometimes I get creeped out when I see a couple that looks too much alike, regardless of if they're related.

 

it'd be wierd for me but that's just because my family and my cousin's family are really close in a family way, and a friend way, but the thought of kissing my cousin freaks me out. but i'm not saying you shouldn' go for it.

OK, You share just as many genes with a half brother/sister as you do with a cousin. Your mom/dad and their sister/brother have the same set of genes because they have the same parents. In which case, you and your cousin are basically the same as half brother and sister. I'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would mess around with a half brother or sister........ Justify it anyway you want in your head, its still wrong.

I have read somewhere that inbreeding dosent cause defects, although I have been taught all my life that it does.
Does anybody know of any proof that inbreeding causes defects????

And if it dosent,.....what are the origins of this myth?
