help me! I know this question has been asked and reasked.... but I want to dye my dreads. Is this an ok thing to do? I have had them for four months. I have brown hair right now and if I just had regular hair and were to bleach it, doesn't it turn yellow? I want blonde or white. Is there a way I can lighten it without it looking like piss? Should i dye my dreads or do I just have to give up and squeeze lemon juice on my head and hope it brightens up? Also are there negative reprocussions to not washing my dreads for a long period of time?
Yes you can dye them. Stay away from bleach because it ruins your hair and your dreads will not recover. I say spary lemon juice on and sit in the sun, i garentee it will lighten up Also use some aloe vera extract if it drys out too much, just to strengthan it. (just take it from inside the leaf and lather it up like shampoo) DO wash your dreads, If they dont get washed and they get dirty and greasy it prevents knotting. The dirt might hold them toigether (eugh!!) but the grease will mean knotts slide out... and thats all dreads are... knotts
