who has seen this not so mainstream movie...and what did you think about it? i personally loved it and think there should be more movies like it...it almost breaks your heart yet it shows you the bitter truth...it is a great flick
That just goes to show the lengths some will go to get their fix. so.... taking a two way dildo up the ass with a total stranger in a room full of drunk perverts for smack money WAS necessary!! And so was this:
yeah i got it on dvd too after watching a bit of it at a friends party....its that kind of film that when you watch it the first time, stays in your memory for the next few days...last night i watched Traffic, and kinda felt the same thing i felt with requiem in that bit where the the dude's daughter runs away from the rehab centre and ends up sleeping with random people to get her fix. fuck that really got me. i agree about the drugs scenes being more graphic...though the arm stuff at the end was really hard to watch the first time. yeah requiem is a great film.
Excellent film. And excellent sountrack too. My favorite parts were with his mother. She was so crazy it made me crazy. And her quack doctors fucking her up......made me yell at my mom for all the meds she takes.
Requiem for a dream sucked. its another drug movie, for all the kids who like to pretend heroin and hardcore drugs are cool. you know who you are. the movie was trite bullshit.
who thinks hardcore drugs are cool did you see the movie man fucking heroin addict ended up getting his arm cut off becasue of infected needle hole the chick started fucking people for junkie the black guy ended up in jail the mother basily lost her mind and has to spend the rest of her life in a home, damn they couldnt have made that shit look any more uncool
Just ignoring the plot (yea right and observing the artwork in the creation and structure of it min-boggling. The cinematography is just beautiful, and complex, and maybe even maddening.
Wonderful soundtrack! When I first discovered it I binged on it for weeks. The movie is disturbingly true to realtiy. I am close with a guy that has been clean from heroin (yeah!) for a few months and he can't listen to the soundtrack because it brings him back. Kinda sad. It's funny though because if you people watch with that music in your ears it makes everything seem dramatic. People picking their nose at a stoplight could be the climax of a movie with that music.
yes i just saw this - it was amazing, so distressing but amazing. The cinematography and the acting and the music and just all of it together was so poetically, beautifully devastating.
