YOU GO GIRL. I lived in a tent for a while when I was a kid, and a couple of times since then, and it is a great experince. My advice is to get hypo-allegenic baby wipes - they really make a difference. Be aware that most kids (under 12) are scared to use outhouses or other outdoor bathrooms from time to time, so there could be an "accident" or two. My tips for you: The best tent is not as good as a really bad cabin. Tents can't be locked against thieves because a pocketknife is a key. Don't forget toilet paper. Leaves suck. When it's safe, accept help when it's offered. Use a small refillable propane bottle for your stove, not the camper through-away type. Good luck.
good for you kitty! i've had similar experiences myself. it was rather tough but one of the most enjoyable times in my life....absolute freedom!
well i'm leaving for woodstock in the morning. this is really it! i'll be staying with ken for a few days before going into the tent, and then suresh will bring the kids by bus to join me. this is it, goodbye rochester!
Hahahaha. What we were thinking this weekend at our nudie camp as we were sitting dry and warm in our cab-over on the ground while all the tenters were in the chilly rain. But seriously Kitty Fab, I hope you can keep us updated!
