Hiya folks. I just found you folks and you already helped me alot. Most of you younger guys and gals are real close to the thinkin of the 60s, the thinkin that changed the world, the thinkin we need now. The term "hippy" was termed here in 65, year before I got out of high school, so like most 16-19 year old humans at the time, everywhere, I grew up sorta similar... fast. But I'm glad I did it then. You guys have it tough, the wold is nuts. Explored from here to there in all areas (literally and metaphorically) til now. Constantly learning I'm wrong in my concepts of life more than I am right, "but I'm tryin Ringo, I'm tryin real hard to get it right"(Pulp Fiction). I am exploring here. I come in peace.
Don't cower in front of big/small nurse. She is just trying to emotionally castrate you as she did us all. (We're gluttons for punishment & love her) You sound like a meek & humble person, so pay no attention to the chain-saw from hell. It's a regular rite of passage. Join in the forums, hang out--cruise the idealism & the funk. Email is always an option. Don't tell us too much about your personal life, unless the statute of limitations has run out on your particular crime . If a man approaches you with candy--just say no. Youths think police are intrigued with us, but nothing goes on here that isn't much worse in the streets... People will post big graphic images with stuff like tatoo piercings to psych you out. PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CurtAIn--as that iz the bIg GuY. The wiz...Um, tut, sut...
I remember "can", but I thought about "lid", and concluded that possibly would go over some heads (two meanings and I meant that in a nice way). Thanks for the hellos, I will not forget who did. Blue Teahouse, Amsterdam 9-13 June, one early mornin... email me. I understand what you said skycanvas, thanks for the advice. Laugh more.
Hello Doc I left school just after Thatcher was elected and John Lennon was shot but I was brought up by a stone hippie and I've sort of lived in that direction all my life, though I lean on the Beat (not much difference) because of my involvement in poetry.I think your generation already changed a hell of a lot ... loosened up society and planted a seed of enlightened thinking that isn't gonna go away. Like Allen Ginsberg said about poetry "In the long term it may have an ameliorating effect on the spirit" - and that's not a bad gift to leave. Just one man's opinion. Drop me a line sometime, if you feel so inclined.
I'll be in london In june on the way to A'dam (I got yelled at for calling Amsterdam that in another forum cuz it sounded touristy....I am a tourist, bridle that angry energy, like me and my mates did...fantastic things can happen), I digress, perhaps I'll write then or before. In the process of moving right now...a younger mans job, it's too much. Thanks for all the kind displays of obvious intellectualism.
I called it the Daam & nobody said anything, but I can't figure out if it's right to say Holland or Netherlands. Sometimes when people write, it's just because you can't see their facial gestures or if they are smiling or playing around. Sarcasm is a tough one to figure out. That's why I guess blogs have icons. But it doesn't cover all emotions. So sometimes I think somebody is genuinely mad when they're just spoutin' off about an issue. You don't have to put up with anything you don't want, just push the exclamation mark under the person's avatar & they get a warning. I'm learning a lot just being here. People get really intense in conversations sometimes. I guess it's not who's right, it's what's right. Hang in there & happy moving. I mean hey--you're going on a nice vacation after, right? You can rest up :H
hey there brother, welcome to the forums :0) I hope no one yells at you here, but it's happened to all of us, so here's a big ((((((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))) that you can save till you're feelin down and need one :0) Blessings and light, and welcome!
hey doc, just gotta say welcome to HF and I'm sure ur gonna find many friends here! so enjoy ur stay and stay as long as u like!
I pledge no one will push that exclamation mark with me. The A'dam post was at another site, and if he had a smile when he wrote what he wrote...its Manson . At HP someone got psycho cranky about a science possibility I posted in an area science is N/A, however the members comments were educational, the obvious anger was unnecessary and I just removed my post. That whole " it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness" came into mind but figure hed yell and call me a Yoda impersonater. Although not as tough as guys who graduated in 65 , I find displayes of anger entertaining as once that was me and I got well. Thanks for the smiles.Peace is still possible.
This is like riding on the bus or the subway: There are all kinds of people here, some menacing & others with hidden agendas. This is unlike riding on the bus or the subway: You can't see the people here, some menacing & others with hidden agendas. "Sticks & stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you."
Shameless, dont you remember me, you could not have missed me. I was the "long hair " with a number in his mouth . So far the ride here has been non- menacing and mostly the agendas have been like all of yours (honestly helpful and friendly). The fact some add a proverbial flow (that borders poetic) to their answer makes me smile big time. 'Duck and cover' was the hit song when I was growing up and my crankyness was used up fighting lotsa folks so that tune would never be taught to kids again ......and it was not taught in the 70s. They even did a 'duck and cover' A/V in black and white. Sure scewed with my head. Wish we had HF then. I could of stayed home. A couple of folks in this forum remember that tune and fought that fight. Peace.
No, not completely and if anyone knows how let us know. I erased as much as I could and left one word. I solved the anger that was stiring up, but it looks now like I am agreeing with something I dont. HELP.
Hey Doc, you're sittin' in a green haze about now, aren'tcha? Who cares about protocol...My honestly best trips your way now...think about everything that matters to you... Life is seeing how good good is & how evil, evil is... Enjoy it all to the very last...Remember the Alamo. Jesus on the John —John Lennon (Folk Rock...)
Leavin Monday...breakfast and a number at Barneys then all Amsterdam has to offer. I have the Nemesis coffeeshop map in tow. Like I said in my EAT IT post, this will be a well protected comical haze. Machiavelli also said those lines in your post...and I find them true. Thanks brother. Will post from there when I probably should not do anything and am unable to... yet trying anyway . I wish there was a way to know Channel members there without asking everyone or setting up a meet I may forget due to buzzing. PEACE.
