FreeCycle groups allow a person to offer and request items for free. Rather than having people simply throw unused/undesired items into a skip or dump, it encourages them to recycle it - by giving/offering it to someone who might have a use for it instead. There is a worldwide FreeCycle network which started two years ago; which currently has 2,730 groups worldwide; and which - according to their website - has 1,303,982 members (..most of these are probably vultures of course, but .. what can one do?). There are 115 groups in the UK - a list of which you can see on THIS PAGE. To join one of these groups, just go to this page, find the one closest to you, and follow the links! If there isn't a group in your area already, feel free to start one (... I don't think it's particularly demanding or time-consuming, and there are clear and easy instructions on the main website linked to above). And feel free to spread the word!
...Indeed it does! Good on ya! Spread the word people ...spread the word! (....sorry - I'm just getting carried away and acting silly now!)
