marijuana is a gateway drug.

because once kids learn that weed isnt as bad as the govt says it is, its only common sense to assume that everything else they say about drugs is a lie too.

i generally dont like the goverment, but im still against pot except if its used medicinally in.. extreme cases.

 

It's only a gateway drug cause the government makes it so, going by that logic, which I might as well agree with, I've got nothing better to do currently.

 

alchohol is more of a gateway drug...or cigs

 

I hate the gateway drug thing..... it's so obvious that marijuana is just used first by most people because it is the most accessible and safest

its common sense to use your head and realize every drug is worlds different from the next usually, and common sense to acknowledge drugs have done a world of good and the amaaaaazing music we enjoy today probably would not be here if it were not for drugs,,, and we would also not be missing some great musicians and creative influencess in the world today if it were not for drugs taking or messing up their lives either...

its also common sense to realize that yeah you cant trust a word the government, your parents, teachers, or even most friends try to tell you...........hahah peace everybody

i was refering to more of the jr high scene...the people who smoke and drink in jr high [and i mean like fo out on weekeds and get smashed] are more likly to turn on to harder stuff in high school... [harder being like crack and meth and whatnot]

 

i find that to be quite true. Pretty much the whole group of people who just smoked and drank in jr high, droped out senior year and started doing heroin and stuff. I think they just got bored with just alchohal and weed, which is a shame.

 

i think it all depends on the person. Some people have will power...some dont.

 

that is very true... illegal is a very stupid way of controling something, it's never worked and it never will... legalisation and education is the only way to tackle the drug issues.. the laws have only led to more addiction, wasted money tackling the crime, the illegality creates all the wealth that flows in the black market from it... etc etc

 

Meh, everyone in this forum puts weed on such a pedestal. I get a kick out of it.

 

i only started smokin cigs after i started smokin pot... a long time ago...

 

Everyone..? I don't even smoke it anymore.. and I don't think it's a good thing if abused, and it usually is, mainly because a lot of those who smoke tend to harbour the false notion that it's safe to smoke.

exactly! It may be more safe thn other things, but its not completely safe, and people have to learn that. they wont throuigh illeagalisation though.
