ok, how is it pronounced? I've heard it both "May or E" and "Mao Re"

Hearing an American say the word 'Maori' or for that matter ANY Maori word is something I have always found totally hilarious. :p They pronounce it all so crazy hehe.

i would use NEITHER of those pronunciations.

this is the offical pronunciation of the word (from the dictionary :p) (mou[IMG]r[IMG])

if that doesn't make sense then :p

it is effectivly "Mou Re" (roll the "R" 2 time, not re re. but just a rolled r)

    hope that helps.

ben stiller and own wilson are the absolutle shit. I love them to bits - and zoolander...so many good quotes

"can I call you matil?" (that one still hasn't died in our flat)
"what is this, a centre for ants?...it will have to be at least [pause] three times that size"
"I think I've got the black lung pop" *then those feeble coughs*

and my brothers favourite part, about being on Mt Vesuvius - classics nerds rejoice :)

Mow-ree (rhymes with cow) is the most common but Anglicised pronounciation. I think More-ree is closer to correct.
