I was at the mall recently (which is a frustration in itself) & I saw all this patchwork & even apron tops at American Eagle...& it wasn't the first time I've seen them there or at other stores.

It just frustrates me so much because I put so much time & love into my creations that I had to vent...I hate seeing mass-produced "hippie" goods in mainstream preppy stores...rar.

Just think of how crappily done they are and will probably fall apart after one or two washes..:D

I am a big time tag-checker (death to dry clean only) and most of those supposed "hippie" clothes can't even go in the wash like most independant artists' clothes.

I think what you see in a store is only meant to last through a fad.......;)

there's too many threads like this coming up.

Like I said before, at the end of the day what does it matter? Why waste precious time, life and energy on being pissed off at something you can't change. Fashion comes and goes and this fad will be over before you know it. In the meantime keep doing your thing and rockin the original clothes, you'll all look much better than the people in the manufactured stuff anyway. If people want to choose price over quality then that's there problem.

I agree with them crossing the line with producing apron tops.

That all really disturbs me! Maybe it's mainly because I can't stand stores such as AE to begin with...
