vegan, vegetarian and the need to detox..

I suppose vegetarian's who eat a lot of dairy and stuff might feel the need to do a body detox.. more so than vegans..but how important is it? or beneficial rather.
I think it can be healthy for anyone to do but less nessesary for some.. especially if you don't drink any alcohol.
I have tried a raw juice detox but I always give in at about 4 pm and eat!

what are people opinions on detoxing in general for both vegan and vego's? And what sort of detox would you recommend.

i dont know how effective 'detoxing' would be after eating dairy, afaik dairy stresses your system right when you consume it, and yeah there is some residual effects and you can probably purify yourself of the cholestereol build and clogged blood flow, but anything from the teat of a cow is just not good for you, no matter how you slice it, and you'd be best just not consuming it to begin with, or lowering your consumption of it a lot..

i think fasting is great for anybody and everyone should try it at LEAST a few times in their life. though ive never went further than a day so i have only did a blood cleanse, it is supposed to take 24 hours for your body to begin cleansing actual tissue and the toxins built up in there... i dont think raw juice is considered fasting, straight up water is though, and oftentimes when you think your hungry, your body is just asking for water, so try that. im gonna assume you havent did a real extensive fast or really got into one cuz it feels GREAT after the first couple hours, and then you probably wont even want to eat anything, and that would be an okay time to consume a little juice or tea diluted in a lot of water and drunk slowly would prob. be best. you can get a number of diff. detox teas at health food stores that are delicious, and its not likely youll have a strong urge to eat dairy when your breaking your fast, and its probably not a good way to break it, if you do, you will probably notice what dairy really does to your body.

in short i feel fasting is great though, i do them almost weekly now and seem to have almost built up a tolerance to it and it takes longer than a couple hours now for me to start feeling light and pure, which is a good sign probably though meaning my body is more pure now... just listen to your body and your heart when you do it and you will have a nice experience.

I wasnt talking about fasting (simply cleansing, detoxing), but the info was interesting ta!
I don't eat dairy as a rule but occasionally I have milk chocolate then I always feel gross after it!
Another thing, everyone Ive ever heard who's done a detox or fast always has heachache and feels like crap, why you say youre meant to feel great? The toxins are leaving your body and this is why you feel like crap, the next day you might feel great, which I guess is the reason for doing it.
