Does anyone have a clue which is better? I've been drinking filtered water for the last 2 years, but recently I've been thinking maybe it's better to get trace amounts of calcium & minerals from tap water. I don't think there are any chem refineries or nukes in my immediate vicinity...
Generally, filtered water is better but to what degree really depends on your water system. I don't drink filtered water because my county's water is really good so there's really no need. If you're really concerned about getting calcium and minerals, just take vitamins.
i drink tap water.. i think we have good tap water in oz its not as pure but i think our bodies need some impurity or we'd get sick all the time also it has fluride in it, which is good for your teeth especially if your vegan and dont buy toothpaste with fluride in it
I am in the lucky position to live in a place where I take my drinking water from a well, which imo is the best water one can drink. Well water keeps you well. If the tap water is OK to drink or not depends very much where you are living. Generally it isn't very good, just because the water molecules get disturbed and disorganized by being pumped through pipes and the water loses a lot of it's live energy due to that. Researchers in Sweden just found out, that there are traces of pharmaceuticals (painkillers, antibiotics and others) in the tap water, which I find very alarming. Flouride in the drinking water being good for you is bogus. Flouride is actually very dangerous to take in on a daily basis with your water. It is related to kidney and bladder disorders, arthritis, skin disease, weakening of the immune system and other health problems. There is a lot of information about it available. Check for example here:Flouride
Wow, everyone's so lucky. I live in the northeast corridor USA where we're famous for our waste dumps. Littlemisty, I agree with your statement about needing some impurities. That's what led me to this whole idea... I can't imagine what sort of weaknesses our sterile society is breeding in us. But eleria, what you said scares the piss out of me. Yah, I once visited a water treatment facility. I pointed to the water flowing thru the channel and asked the engineer, "So what's the first phase in water treatment?" He laughed and said, "That water's been cleaned already. It's going to your home!"
I drink Tap water, because here in Ger it's the best controlled "food". And it does not contain flouride, because flouride in water is total bullshit.....
Depends on where you live. The well we have in our front yard, which feeds our house, is undrinkable. Even without the rotten egg smell, and the iron and too much dissolved solids, we have gotten E Coli and other pathogens several times in our water. Not all well water is safe.
Yeah, you are right of course. Well water isn't good to drink everywhere either and you should get your well tested before you use it as your drinking water. I am just very happy that I can drink mine and was mainly refering to the quality of water in terms of life energy here, which get's destroyed in our pipes and turbines. If you are interested in the natural energy of water check out researches by Victor Schauberger and also by Masaru Emoto. I highly recommend the book Living Water by Olof Alexandersson. The following links give a brief introduction to the topic and also talk about how to revitalize water. Earth Transitions Water Revitalizer
i use a brita filter. actually, they're kinda expensive so ive been drinking tap water lately though.
I had always drank tap water, but as of three months ago I started buying cases of bottled water to encouage me to drink it more (it worked I just grabed a bottle when ever I was on the go, I've never drank so much water in my life!) but I just ran out the other day and haven't made a point to get to the store, so I went to have a glass from the tap YUK I practically spit it out! I never noticed the awful taste!!! it makes me wonder what makes it taste so bad ya know? I worry about drinking tap water especially in my area. I just feel better drinking bottled, plus it taste a hell of a lot better. its funny how I never noticed till I went 3 months without it! although it sucks to think how much money It cost buying the bottled, when you have water waiting there in the tap FREE
