Just wondering... would be interesting to see the poll results.. I dont... but I do a mighty fine gay lisp impression... for when I want to make someone laugh.
Nope. Not at all. I am training my voice higher but I see no need for a lisp. for that matter now that I think of it I don't remember a lisp in any of the gay or bi people I normally associate with.
how about: "how many of you have a lisp commonly associated with being camp?" I know a straight dude with the most camp vocal style ever. ...man i'm a boring one for definitions... p.s. If someone had a 'gay lisp', they might not know about it...
Ya, the "gay lisp" isn't restricted to only people who are gay and bi; I've met heterosexuals with a rather questionable lisp before .
theres this guy in my school who has kind of a 'gay lisp' and hes the most "kill all faggots" guy around it'd be funny if he was gay
oh no i multiple posted...a lot i pressed return about five times to go down a line and it posted it instead:&
I don't hear the lisp much unless someone is putting it on...mostly for comic effect. The pitch and intonation of some gay men's voices seems to be a more likely giveaway.
yeah. I know a guy who puts on a total gay persona... it's generally to broadcast the fact that he's gay... though he doesn't need to do it so much now... he's dating my lecturer
Wots A Gay Lisp I Am Bi But Wen I Told A Gay Frend That I Was Bi He Told Me That He All Ways Thort That Had Some Gay Tendansees Dus That Meen I Have Got One But Dont Know It. Lol
Thats hilarious... But seriously when I told my best friend I was gay he was blown away. So I'm pretty sure that its a no from me AND... I know plenty of guys that all talk about girls that definitely have a lisp. I would definitely call a few out if I was interested, but the gay lisp is a 100% turn off for me. Just annoys me for some reason. The weird thing is I have no problem with flamboyant hand gestures and body movements, but for some reason I hate the lisp. Go figure
As for myself, I do not have a gay lisp, but I am also not gay but bisexual. I would agree with you that the gay lisp is a turn off. In fact I would stick my neck out here and go as far as to say that a lot of people probably aren't anti-gay men per se but are really anti-lisping gay men.
Hehe... that's more lispy than my rough, hardcore, Bostonian accent. Seriously, whenever I travel out of the region people can tell I'm from Massachusetts as soon as I say somthing. Sometimes I do this femmy lispy accent when I'm hyper and giddy... but then again, I AM a girl.
