Drugs are not bad for the environment compared to the vast amounts of bullshit it has had to put up with. Explane how exactly drugs effect it comapred to, oh, say, the logging indistry, factories, cars, power plants, oil tankers, and so on? The few acres of trees cut down to make space for planting drugs DOES NOT compare to the billions of acres of forest the earth has lost to logging.
