I was wondering what songs you find comfort in when you're depressed?

    Bob Dylan-It ain't me Babe
Pink Floyd-Nobody Home (it reminds me of when a girl that I want acts like I'm nothing)
    NIN-The whole Downward Spiral cd
    Jimi Hendrix-Hey Joe and Manic-Depression
    Sex Pistols-No Feelings
    Beatles-A Day in the Life
The Unseen-Fight for a Better Life and False Hope
    Business-Belmarsh
    Nirvan-Lithium
    Pink Floyd-Don't Leave me Now
    Pink Floyd-Goodbye Blue Sky

When I'm depressed I turn on happy stuff, like Pet Sounds or Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

Not all of Pet Sounds is happy. In fact, I seem to find about half of the album to be quite the opposite.

bright eyes. the song i want depends on the source of my depression, but conor always has one for me. and the dead. jerry and the boys usually have something to remind me of when i was little and thus cheer me up. but sometimes you just want to mariniate in your momentary angst, and that's when you bring out the velvet underground. their songs can enhance any mood you have. seriously. try it.

i donno, i am not a big fan of post-sabbath ozzy and oasis generally MAKES me depressed... especially 'dont look back in anger'... songs that bring me up are:

    alligator - GD
    casey jones - GD
lucy in the sky - beatles
anything by the bloodhound gang, or the beastie boys
old school country, well... some of it... most of it makes me want to cry, or drink :p

Radiohead - Exit Music (for a film)

oooh the drama... it just give me shivers everytime I hear it and I want to scream along 'let all your rules and wisdom choke you and now we are one in everlasting peace, we hope that you choke, that you choke...' but my voice is too low for the high notes...
